For metal wells, you will need to measure outside edge of you well to get an accurate width measurement. Write down the widest width. Then you should measure the outside edge to the house for an accurate projection measurement.

For concrete or other window wells, you should measure the inside width of your well. Write down the widest width. Then you should measure the inside edge to the house for an accurate projection measurement.
