The Bilco Ultra Series Polyethylene Basement Door (also known as a cellar door) is a high-density door available in the Bilco Size C only. This Ultra Series door will provide a weathertight performance and easy operation. Like other Bilco hatch doors, it features a two-door design that opens from the center, offering both convenience and durability. The basement doors are easy to operate due to the gas spring lift assistance that provides a smooth, easy, one-handed operation and prevents the door from slamming. Gas springs are found on the inside of the door and should be installed with the black end up (larger diameter) and the silver end (smaller diameter) on the bottom. The Bilco Ultra Series Basement Door will never rot, rust, or need painting and is nearly maintenance free.
